The Christ centered life understands lordship
Who is in control….of the airplane
In marriages the pilot and co pilot fight for control
It is not ours to control…..Brian Smith

The princess bride
Terrors of the fire swamp
Fire blasts, quicksand, rous

What every bride & groom finds
Terrors of the real world
Though these should draw us together, they often force us apart
They are almost always about control
I bring these, not to give answers, but to remind you there is work to be done

Financial
We earn a paycheck so we think we know how to spend it
Who will make it
What is the plan
Who will spend it…..on what

Inlaws/friends
There is an umbilical cord between mother and child/Cut it
What role should parents have in your life?
They raised you to send you out

Communication
People come see the preacher when it is too late
Learn to communicate
See a counselor

Core values
What are your core values…name some of them
To what degree to you live them out?
What role does spirituality play in your life?
Are you compatable spiritually?

Children
Talk about control issues
Children used to get what the adult wants



Two become one?
Not every marriage will work
Some are doomed from the start
Especially if they insist on remaining two
You must give up part of who you are to have a successful marriage
A marriage cannot be two people vying for control

You are a christian, god has given you your family
It is your job to show them the love of Christ
You are bonded………
How would you treat yourself???
